About Our Hobby

I started collecting pinball machines about 20 years ago; I researched and found
many different  models from many different vendors that produced pinballs.  I played
with as many pinballs’ as I could find and had time to play.  As a teenager I remember
that Atari which was a Video game maker put out a pinball. They were wide body
machines and they had futuristic themes.  The first Atari pinball I played was Middle
Earth, later on I found an Airborne Avenger.  When I graduated High School I decided
that I would try to purchase a pinball but I did not know how. The internet was not yet
available and dial up sites were the only form of communication to the outside world.
This made the search thru local buy and sell papers and magazines the only choose. I
limited my collection to a vendor that I have always admired for their advanced
technology. I choose the Atari pinball machines.

I soon discovered after I graduated from High School that many of the pinball vendors
were going out of business. That was sad knowing so many vendors would stop
producing arcade and pinball games of any type.  So many vendors went out of
business that I found it hard to find any parts outlets stores that sold pinball parts.
There were some around but they were only for vendors. What was worse was when I
needed something repaired. There were no companies who would do servicing of
pinball circuit boards around.

I started searching for working Atari pinballs, but that was a problem in its self. I did go
to college for electronics which helped me in the future.  I did find and collect a set of
Atari pinball’s made. I collected all the production models produced except the Giant
Hercules Pinball. There were others but they were the proto-type models made.

Once I collected all the models, I discovered that no one wanted or cared to work on
an Atari Pinball machine. I decided at that moment that if I wanted to make the pinball’
s function I would have to repair them myself. I started to buy as many parts as I could
find, eBay was like a dream hard to find pinball shop. I then took a working board and
debugged the circuits and proceeded to repair the boards myself. I can now repair
almost all Atari pinball board made.

I hope that my web page will help and provide a service allowing you to achieve the joy
of playing your Atari pinball. I will try to list articles, and upcoming events about the
pinball industry, keep reading for updates.
